Grenada Drum Festival 2008
Now in its seventh year, the Grenada Drum Festival is carded for May 2nd to 4th 2008 at Krumahville, a new venue situated in the heart of Tivoli, the original home of the Drum Festival and home of the Tivoli Drummers. This new venue will provide the ambience and atmosphere that the committee has always wanted for the Drum Festival.
In that atmosphere the line becomes blurred between visitors and performers as they blend together further emphasizing participation as part of the package. It has been our intention to display local craft work, local foods and to display historical artifacts and images that would heighten the total experience for all those that come to the Drum Festival.
Now more than ever we are better able to concentrate on maintaining the quality of performances that we have had over the years, even as we bring in new performing groups to the event. We look forward to a well executed and highly cultural event that would leave all those who have attended, excited as they await the next Drum Festival.
